Warren Gyans Awaited !

Warren Buffett urges Indians to donate despite opposition from CEOs. And on the other hand he does agree of the very fact that their similar effort in China was last year met with scepticism. "Everyone is entitled to do what they want to do with their own wealth. Many people have agreed with us, many people have not." A paradox to me considering the resonance we have with china in terms of population.

A 2010 Bain & Co report on the state of philanthropy in India estimated that philanthropic donations account for 0.6% of GDP, better than Brazil and China but lower than the US and UK. At the same time, promoter wealth has grown by leaps and bounds, thanks to a buzzing economy and surging demand.

And as mentioned in my earlier blog post that those who purchase Berkshire Hathaway policies which are as low as 2,165 a policy get to hear of Buffet in person , people bought them and have lined up to name a few such as Rakesh Jhunjhunwala , Raamdeo Aggarwal, Joint MD at Motilal Oswal Financial Services.

Though his focus for this visit is philanthropic yet his Gyan for the industries is much awaited !
